In transfer pricing at PwC, you will focus on providing guidance and support to clients on transfer pricing matters. In this field, you will help businesses establish and maintain appropriate pricing for transactions between related entities, maintaining compliance with tax regulations and minimising the risk of disputes.

The Opportunity
As a Transfer Pricing PhD Senior Associate, you will engage in the intricate world of transfer pricing, providing strategic insights and solutions to multinational clients. Your role will involve analyzing complex financial data, developing financial models, and conducting in-depth tax research to support our clients' global business structuring needs. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your problem-solving skills and critical thinking to build meaningful client relationships and navigate complex situations. You will guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages personal growth and technical development.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team within the Transfer Pricing practice, focusing on delivering client-centric solutions that align with the arm's length principle and OECD guidelines. You will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of international taxation and corporate structuring, while contributing to the firm's overall business strategies. This position offers a platform to enhance your personal brand and technical skills, as you anticipate client needs and deliver quality outcomes in an ever-evolving tax landscape.
Responsibilities
- Conducting financial statement analysis to assess business health and performance
- Developing financial models to represent real-world financial scenarios and support decision-making
- Reviewing legal documents to identify relevant information for tax compliance and dispute resolution
- Structuring corporate and financial transactions to optimize cash flows and meet organizational goals
- Applying macroeconomic principles to analyze economic trends and their impact on business operations
- Performing tax research to provide accurate and up-to-date information on international taxation and compliance
- Implementing transfer pricing strategies in alignment with OECD guidelines and the arm's length principle
- Collaborating with clients to support business tax planning and corporate structuring initiatives
- Facilitating tax documentation and auditing processes to maintain compliance with jurisdictional tax laws
- Engaging in transaction services to support business mergers, acquisitions, and financial due diligence
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a PhD in Economics
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $214,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
