Job Summary & Description

A career in our Insourced Solutions for Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our clients across their global tax lifecycle processes and delivering strategic commercial assets. You’ll focus on delivering top talent, technology, and processes across our global network to provide an alternative tax function model that is fit for our clients to respond to strategic evolution in the global market.

Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Participating in all phases of tax compliance engagements, including planning, execution and completion;
  • Researching tax laws, rules and regulations and analyzing their application to specific situations;
  • Participating in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative;
  • Working effectively in a team environment, understanding personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members, and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and,
  • Building solid relationships with clients, developing an awareness of Firm services, approaching clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner, delivering clear requests for information and demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

As a tax technical professional, experience researching business and industry trends to develop a point of view to leverage in assisting with proposals.

Exposure with automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to:

  • Innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions; and,
  • Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
